Topic: Poorly working HI, MID and LOW tone correction
Hello friends, all the time trying to get used to VirtualDJ with after giving up Serato.

However, I have two problems that bother me a lot.

1.

Equalizer HI, MID, LOW and its principle of operation.

I don't know how to describe it, but in Serato when I was spinning the potentiometer on the DJ controller from hi tones, it was very pleasant to remove them in a much larger frequency range. It was the same with the MID and LOW tones. It sounded very nice.

In Virtual DJ, these potentiometers work nasty badly, the treble potentiometer removes a much smaller frequency range, the same is with MID and LOW. So when I go down from the HI tones, I hear that it sounds bad.

Is it possible to improve the work of these potentiometers?

I also noticed that the UV METER on my Mixars PRIMO works very differently from working with Serato.
The UV Meter in Virtual DJ on my DJ controller shows the clipping for high and low signals. In serato UV, the METER was more generalized. The song is well balanced, not too loud, neutral. However, when the bass hits harder, or when the high tone jumps a little higher - the UV Meter jumps to the red field - it is confusing to me. It worked better with Serato DJ. Is there a parameter change displayed in the Virtual DJ options? UV METER?

1) be sure eqMode is set to frequencies and equalizerMode or equalizerFrequencySpread is set to "Full Kill" (depending on build)
equalizer central frequencies can be specified using equalizerHiFrequency and equalizerMidFrequency and equalizerLowFrequency

Take a look at "Audio" section in
https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/virtualdj/appendix/optionslist/index.html

2) this is just display as there is no real "clipping" in digital, red field is not a clip indicator but high level
setting zeroDB can be used to limit the output level
using setting vuMeter 'Peak' or vuMeter 'Power' modify the type of display

Thank you, your tips are very valuable to me. They let me get to know VDJ better.
Please, tell me what are the differences between VU METER "get_level" and "get_vu_meter"? Which is better for me?

get_level gets the level before the master level
get_vu_meter gets the level after the master level

Which mode are you using? So a better representation of the real sound that comes out on the speakers is het_uv_meter yes?

That's up to you
What goes out of decks or what goes out of mixer
both have their own utility
