Eventually does it open ? If so.... Chek to see that you don't have programs running in the back. Maybe check to ee if you need to do a system defrag.

Hmm i timed itlast night , it takes between 30 & 35 seconds to open atomix every time ,
, if something goes , wrong , that 30's wil seem like eternity !!!

, ive reinstalled atomix severel times ,( totaly uninstalling it first , ( making sure it is not in the registry )

it never ued to be this slow on opening , so i think my only alternative is to reinstall 98 :(

any other idea's ?

do you have the atomixmp3 home directory set to a directory with a lot of MP3s??

try changing the home directory to another directory that doesnt contain and files.. then close and reopen.

atomixmp3 scans the home directory before the GUI is even displayed, but after the little splash sceen logo is displayed. I set my home directory to my network file server mapped drive, which has about 3000 MP3s in the directory.. and atomixmp3 now takes a min. or two to open... change it back to some other little directory, and it comes right open

good luck
