Topic: atomix mp3 minimum/recommended sys. requirements...

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hey there everyone,

I have a small DJ business that I have been running for about a year.

Currently I use vinyl + 2X Technics 1200s but it is an awful lot to carry around.

I would like to run Virtual DJ or Atomix MP3 on a laptop with a Maya 44 USB soundcard and go straight into my active speakers from there.

I have ripped all my vinyl and CDs to mp3 and am ready to go digital but am concerned as my laptop is older.

What is the minimum laptop system to SAFELY run AtomixMP3 on as described above?

I would really hate to have to bring a desktop system to a gig.

I am hoping to make enough jack from these initial gigs to buy a really nice new laptop and then use Virtual DJ3.

Thanks so much for any info you can share.

Al the best,

-Alex

Hi Alex

You can see the minimum/recommended system requirements here http://www.virtualdj.com/products/virtualdj/description.html It shows you just what you need to get started.

If i'm honest, there's not really too much wrong with taking a desktop system with you to a gig. This is what i do and effectively what DJ Cyder/MP3JRICK also do this too. Check out my blog and also their blogs to see what kind of setup you can use for gigs.

Cheers...and keep spinnin'...:o)
