I'm interested in buying vdj and some tcv's, but i got a question or two:

If my mixer is usb supportive (numark dxm01usb) would i need to bother with an external souncard like the maya 44? does it eliminate the need for it or simplify the process any?

thanks for any help, vdj looks like it might be exactly what i need

No you will still need an ASIO soundcard like the maya44 because the dxm01usb only has the output part of a soundcard. You can't plug in a cd player on that mixer an have the music on your computer.

Hope to see you soon with a FULL version downloaded through this website!

alright here we good...n00b question lol....anyone care to explain wat exacly a tcv is

TCV = TimeCoded Vinyl

Its a physical vinyl that contains timecode, and it will send code to Virtual DJ, so that you can play mp3s in software, and control the software with real turntables, just as you would with regular vinyl...

for a video of this, look here :

TCV = Time Coded Vinyl (a vinyl that will let you control VDJ using a turntable)
TCCD = Time Coded CD (a cd which you burn to let you control VDJ using a cd deck

more can be found in these forums if you do a search for them but I figured giving a basic explanation would be good enough for starters ;)

Best Regards
