What is a good laptop or ideal Laptop for the combination virtualDJ+Hercules MK2.
The laptop will only being used for music (nothing else), @home and for playing on housepartys.

I use Centrino 1.7GHz with 1GB of RAM. Should get away with 512MB as well, as long as you're playing just music. You'll need P4 for videos to make it fairly stable.
Practically any new laptop, as long as it's not Celeron.

i use a Ergo microlite 3 , its 1.6 ghz and 512 mb , and it works fine
i agree any 1.7 ghz + centrino M laptop should be ok.

Hi there!
Well, to mix music with a laptop you just have to consider some basic things:
- Plugs (like soundcards, TV-OUT..) You can use external USB or Firewire anyway...
-Memory (your working with multimedia so 1Gb not less...)
- HDD (you will need a nice and fast internal or external HDD)
- The CPU, well...Celerom will do it just fine...If you can use PIV 1.7 or higher its good.... but if you can use dual core processor it´s perfect.
Anyway..the most important it´s that the operating system is well tuned up, because all you don´t want is a crash in the middle of a performance!
