is there any way i can record in .wma format instead of .mp3 or .wav?

Would you want to? MP3 compression is much superior to WMA. I think it's best to record in WAV and convert to anything you please afterwards.

I agree with Abnorm, recording to wave first will make it easier to edit and convert

That is true at LOW bitrate. Just like mp3pro sounds better at low bitrate.
But at bitrate at 192 and higher, I believe that mp3 is better...
At least thats what my mother told me :)

dj in norway your such a smart ass! LoL, well i never record at more than 192. The reason why i asked is because i would like to upload my mixes to myspace but can only upload up to 6 mb at one time. recording in mp3 or wav only makes it impossible to do so.

There's plenty of other ways to share your mixes.
read my post about it here:

Also when I try to analyse .wma files in Virtual DJ 3.4 it freezes. Why is this? Is there a fix for it?
