Hello again,
Lots of thanks to the developpers for this new
function. It will help !!!
But for instance, it seems that there are some
problems (.... at least with my configuration) :
* in "mixing table" mode (one soundcard for deskA
and one soundcard for deskB), the function works only
if I try to pre-listen on the deskA soundcard.
And even if I swap the soundcards in VDJ configuration,
it will be always A that works and B that doesn't work.
* in "headphones" mode, I didn't succeed in making
the function work at all. Note that in this mode, it is
necessary to have a "button" to mute the current
desk. Because by earing the current song, you can't
clearly listen to another one at the same time .....
And this kind of prelistening is not like a waiting desk
preview for which you need to ear also the current song.
Thanks for all,
DJ LARIOS

Please apologize, the last comment "earing the current
song is disturbing when you are prelistening to another"
is a little stupid because you just have to click on the
waiting desk and you don't ear the current song in your
headphones .....
so we don't need another button as I was suggesting.

Did you check it with 2 physically different soundcards ?
Because I agree it works in 4.1.
See the results of all my tests in french forum.

Yan
I've got no sound at all in the browser whichever deck is active
I've only tried my desktop so far which is using two
soundcards so i've got the config set to the two soundcard and headphone setting. The internal audigy and external extigy for monitoring in this instance.
I can see the track playing in the pop up but no sound?

Hi,
OK, I think the bug is well identified, now, by
many users (also in the french forum) :
* with 2 soundcards in loudspeakers/headphones mode,
the prelistening doesn't work
* with 2 soundcards in mixing table mode, the channel
B doesn't work
The question is :
has S. Clavel read this topic or has he be informed ?
To wait for the fix, one solution is to use the 4.1 mode
that works fine.
Regards,
DJ Larios

Yep
Just came up with pretty much the same...
Bit more tweaking required i think?
Would be nice to see a selector on the desk top to choose headphone sound source, deck A, deck B, browser etc.
Also to be able to listen to active deck with any of the above
would be nice especially when not using an external mixer as sometimes is the case..

I would not recommend to use two cards anyway. There is no manual latency adjustment.

Of course if you happen to have two 100 identical cards, there may be no need for such adjustment :)
.. or maybe this option is not visible in the demo, i wouldnt know.
