I have some mp4's (music videos) which I thought VDJ would play because there is a codec. Am I supposed to do something to make them work?

Hi,
First, you need to download the codec from here:
http://www.3ivx.com/download/windows.html
then:
- go into cofig in VDJ
-click on the "codecs tab
-click on "mp4" and click "change"
-on the dropdown list that comes up select "windows media player video decoder"
-click ok.
Job done!

Thanks Andy. I'll try that later. As soon as I downloaded and installed on my non-dj computer it found the files right away so I assume that it will work with VDJ.
Maybe you or someone else can enlighten me a bit. I was running VOB files and some MPEG 2 files, so I understand a bit about the differences in them BUT, what is MPEG4? Is it less a quality then either vob or mpeg2? Is it a good file to use with VDJ, or should I still convert to MPEG2?
