Topic: Hercules Mobile DJ Mp3 Controller and VDJ5 ...

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

hi all

ive gone and bought the new 'Wireless' mobile DJ MP3 controllers from hercules, and it came with its own software to play mp3s only.

but im looking for a way to get VDJ5 to recognise my console.

its made by Herculese, but its not like the MK1 or MK2 in that it dosent have a built in soundcard.

its white, not brown, etc

it has a USB transmitter, and the console has no wire connection...

ive tryed 'HerculesDJC Mapper v4.4 by DJ Cel' but still i cannot connect my console to VDJ5

does anybody here have this same console?
have you got it to work with VDJ5?
if you have, how did you do it?
or if you have the knowlege to make consoles work, could this console be added???

please help :)

this wireless console is not VDJ compatiable and is desgined to be a toy

there is no way to use it with any software except the included program.

well i must admit it is the cheepest of the cheep, and i thought at first id use this for smaller gigs and partys.

but, the Hercules mapper does recognise that the conroller is a Hercules, and the controler attempts to talk to it..

but its like its missing the right parts, eventually the console display shows host not found.

maybe in time, i will look into this and create my own drivers for it.

who knows. (maybe djcel could do something in a future update of the mapper) :)

it might be intended to be a TOY, but its still a box with control buttons, much the same as any of the other consoles.

the 1st advantage of this one is that its WIRELESS.

no need to have it pluged in direct to the computer.

but if nobody else thinks this is a good idea, then the console will fade away, and we will be stuck in the dj booth forever! lol

be aware that its longest wireless range is about 2.5 meters so dont stray to far lol,

the reason it cant be used with other softwares as it isnt a midi device so it doesnt send any readable signals

so unless hercules shares their source code it wont be mapable

sorry to be the bringer of bad news.

2.5 meters is fine to take me to the bar, as its just next to the DJ stand :)

but the all important source code would be needed to talk to this device.

what made me think that it could be possible, is when i have the hercules mapper loaded, the mobile console does through the motion of booting, it shows info on its lcd display..

but it just times-out.

that dosent happen without the hercules mapper loaded.

i'll go and put this console back in its box for now. lol

why not try to email herc support and suggest they open up support for it

no harm in asking

i was thinking the same, and ive sent an email to Herc. we can only wait and see.

ah, also...

about the 2.5 (ish) meter range...

if the bar is about 4 or 5 meters away,i could run a longer USB cable between the bar and DJ Stand, and put the transmitter half-way.
problem solved.

I hope that Hercules is working on MK3 console and stop fooling around with this toys ;)

i hope they do make an MK3

but i like the idea of being wireless, able to roam the place and still be able to control the show :)
