Wattage of sub is kind of low for 18". I wouldn't buy anything if I can't get feedback on it and especially if no ones heard of it.

Yep am starting to get a bad feeling on these how about some YAMAHA subs

good ratings but i think that youd be better with a more reputable brand and if you can but it, a powered sub as well - sounds better, no having to worry about the combo, etc
i never like yamaha imo, but ive heard good things

If i buy powere subs do i have to still buy a crossover??
Inviato Tue 18 Mar 08 @ 10:22 pm
No, you don't have to, there is a crossover built in. It will send the higher frequencies, to the satellites.

external crossover will definitly sound alot better than the internal crossover.

I think that the self powered subs from Mackie sound great. There are a little pricey though.
