You can't record video mix in VDJ (for now), you can use some external device for that like another computer or some VCR.

Yeah, alot of people on here use a DVD recorder to record their sets. (Then you can rip the DVD back onto the computer if you need to edit it, put titles on, etc.)
Also, if you're having problems with the mac version of VDJ, you could use "bootcamp" to load windows onto the mac and then run the pc version of the Virtual DJ. I know there's a few people on here who do that.

Hi i think we have spoken recently on the Numark Helpline.

You could use Screen Mimic to record your video output straight to a quick time video file.
As you have a macbook pro this should not negate performance.

been reading old posts about editing software etc and came accross allok video splitter, seems to be only for windows, any mac alternative suggestions? I seem to be heading down the route of dj larry d's, dj yoda's projects so i need a swift editing software system, i had been using final cut pro to do all of this which i find is quite long winded especially on rendering and exportin to quicktime. Any advice on software for Dj yoda style editing/cutting (pre live mix) software to manipulate footage would be great. has anyone got any mixes they have posted anywhere like youtube or rapidshare to see what people are creating? love seeing others work and seeing boundaries broken. cheers!

Can someone help me recording, i can figure it out. because its says when im tring to record it that my it cant open my mp3 encoder, what can i do so its gonna work?
Inviato Mon 11 Jul 11 @ 4:43 pm
This is an old thread about video recording, not audio. You need to tell VDJ where your MP3 encoder is by pointing it to the lame_enc.dll in the VirtualDJ\Plugins folder in the recording config.
If you have further issues then please start a new thread.
