My triel version of VDJ has just ended, and Im seriously thinking of buying.
But first I would like to hear from people who uses the timecoded vinyl for scratching....Im guessing that the bits of code on the vinyl wont last forever....does it quickly deteriate?

TCV is the best ....no diference with normal vinyls (using maya 44 usb with asio drivers)
you can do loops , cue , and many more

yes- i was wondering this as well...it would seem that the timecoded vinyl would wear quickly because it HAS to be playing all night...any news on this?

My tests vinyls (from the really first ones made by AP) are dated from this summer.
Used always same side and about 3 times a week for one hour session to full parties (6/8hours and +) and still no problem with the vinyl.
I think that if you really want to be sure you will have no problems with them, you can buy 3 or 4 to have one or two bakup vinyls but for my case I never used them !!

They are like normal vinyls.
A very important factor for vinyl wearing in general, is the cartidges and stylus you use,
(and the weight and antiskating settings)
- Beware "eliptical" stylus have slightly better sound BUT DESTROY the records VERY easily.
Just scratch at the same point a little and you'll see ..
So i recommend always "spherical" stylus.
This apply to Stantons, shures, ortofons.
For example stanton name its "spherical" models with "AL" (like 500AL),
and the "eliptical" as "EL" (500EL)

Yes...I have checked the video and Im TOTALLY excited :-) But I would still like to hear from users who uses the vinyl for scratching. Its one thing to play entire numbers for a gig....quite another to be using a tiny bit of the vinyl for heavy scratching....and...no offence...but you sound like a salesman :-)
