Hello All:
Using VDJ 5.2 with a Macbook Pro/4gb Ram. When running from an external driver formatted in NFTS, takes anywhere from 10-20 seconds to upload a track. Entire program freezes during that time. I've tried uploaded from a Mac OS Journeled drive (external) and it takes about 5-6 seconds. When running the program from Windows, it loads instantly, no program freeze. Is this a MAC issue only, or is there a software setting I can play with.
Thanks

Change the codec to quicktime audio decoder in VDJ. Not sure if this is available to djc edition tho.

When i first bought my mac i tried ntfs formatted drives with the ntfs for mac software installed but it was still too slow. I have since reformatted to fat 32and noticed an increase in load speed. Now if i could only get the damn software to stop crashing I'd be a lot happier .

Try this - http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/70794/MAC_Version_Technical_Support/Tweaks_to_the_mac_configuration_file__(similar_to_registry_changes_on_pc).html
If not i suggest u reformat to fat 32 or even mac journaled. It sped up my load time alot
