I'm thinking about selling my c.314's to pay for a portable tv to use for karaoke events. What would be the ideal screen size? Thanks in advance;^]

I did, just a few months old now. But because of my limited hand eye coordination I'm not so good with trick mixing, I was gonna keep 'em just for fun but now I don't get much time to play so I'm just thinking of ways to maximise my business. I'm still debating, but it might help me to get a LCD & more Karaoke (I'm only just above 600 karaoke tracks right now);^]

I wouldn't use an LCD telly as a singer screen - considering how much they cost, do you really want it being bumped, knocked and having beer spilled over it by the punters? I use an old 14" portable TV for the singer's screen - it's more likely to survive a knock or two, and if it does get trashed, hey, it's only £40 at your nearest supermarket to replace it.
It's the same reason I don't use SM58s as singer mics....

I kinda thought the sm58 (that's what I have) would be ideal considering how well built it is. Ok, I do already have a 13" tube tv that I caught as a freebie, do you think that would be big enough? Thanks;^]

I just picked up a 19" flatscreen for next to nothing from my girlfriends brother. With the LCD stand that I bought, I dont think it will be very easy to knock over.

The SM58 is a beast Timmy....they are great mics for both singing and voice. Durable and well designed, Shure has not even attempted to improve it for over three decades, that should tell you something. I have seen youtube vids where they ran them over with cars...froze them for weeks on end, dropped them off buildings, and they just keep working!!! So you made the right call there....

That's kinda what I was thinking, something between 19" & 26" and setting it on the ground/ floor and angling it up;^]

hehe, that's why I chose it Terry, knowing how long it's been the standard & after seeing the video on youtube. Don't think I'm gonna try any of those experiments with mine though..lol;^]
