I come from a family of musicians and have always loved music. I became a "bedroom DJ" in the early '80's, making mixed tapes for myself and friends. In 1985 I DJed in public for the first time, donating my services for a charity event. As a result of that exposure I got hired for my first paying gig doing a school dance. Parties and weddings followed as I learned on the job and figured things out on my own.

In 1986 I began a career in law enforcement which had always been a calling since I was a child. I continued to DJ along the way for various events I got through "word of mouth". I patrolled the... I patrolled the streets by day and spun in a club 3 or 4 nights a week. In 1989 I started a legit DJ business. Eventually I owned 3 systems and helped two young kids just out of high school get started in the DJ business. They both still DJ today, over 30 years later.

I added CDs to my vinyl in the early 90's and began experimenting with Atomix back in 2000. A few years later, after ripping all my thousands of CD and digitizing thousands of records, I went totally digital. I still have my 1200's and crates of records set up in a room, but haven't used them in years. I actually set up a little studio in my home and dabbled with the productions side of the business a little, but just never seemed to have the time to do it seriously. I had slacked off on the DJ business as I had gotten burned out juggling it and my career, but since I retired last year I am starting to get back into it more.
