Anybody know if this is available on the US site or just the UK site? Also what is the video bitrate and resolution and how much are the individual videos in US dollars?

1.49 - 1.99 is what i'm seeing on the current store. Its not the cost that concerns me its how fast itunes seem to have these videos way before promo, screen play etc. It came to a head one night i was doing a party and some guy had the video to something that i haven't gotten through normal channels on his iphone.

So Tunebite will work with the Video??

I've just tried. Downloaded iTunes, set up an account, brought a video track and converted it to MP4 using Tunebite. It works fine.

Jason how is the quality of the vid compared to say Promo Only??
Inviato Thu 08 Jan 09 @ 2:47 pm
Ok Gary it wont make the vid work, what settings in tunebite do u use it keeps telling me i need to use half the resolution of the video
Inviato Thu 08 Jan 09 @ 3:59 pm
There is a box in the options menu to use half resolution, but i didn't want to so i unticked it.
I used MP4 settings, keeping the same resolution and sound quality as the video.
What version of Tunebite are you using?

just got the platinum version today, I had version 4 before this one, but cant get them to convert.

You have to change some settings in the iTunes options too. Tunebite should tell you how to.
You have to set iTunes so video plays in a new window. Its in the iTunes preferences.

Ok got it to work, how is the quality on the ones u do??
Inviato Thu 08 Jan 09 @ 5:31 pm
Not any different from the original. When the video is playing while tunebite is converting, don't adjust the window size its playing in, keep it the default size, it shouldn't be too big.

I looked all ove the itunes site for specs and could not find any. Does anybody know what the video resolution and bitrate are on the video downloads?
Inviato Fri 09 Jan 09 @ 12:13 am
You need to do a power search for I tunes plus videos. They are averaging about 640x368. Tunebite actually sux for doing these and removes a lot of the file. Workin with Vegas and trying to learn what needs to be done.

Hmm seems strange you need to transcode a drm free file. It's probably something to do with the atoms in the container itself. Anyone familiar with mp4box?
Inviato Fri 09 Jan 09 @ 1:24 am
My before and after file sizes are virtually the same
Inviato Fri 09 Jan 09 @ 2:05 am
Gary I look forward to ur help on this then:) There has to be somethin I am doin wrong.

If your tracks are iTunes Plus I would recommend against programs like Tunebite which transcode your media, i.e. re-records it at lower quality. I purchased a few tracks from the iTunes store and can confirm that they will work in Virtual DJ if you do one of the following things:
1) Change your decoder to your Windows default decoder (only if you have the appropriate codecs installed)
2) Use QuickTime Pro ($29.99) to make a new mp4 file using the existing streams
This is far quicker than transcoding and lossless. I'll post a tutorial up for #2 later.
