looping at 1/8 is small, but it's not small enough to take full advantage of mixers with advanced fx.
please add loop 1/16 and 1/32.

you can map smaller sizes using decimal instead of fractions eg.
loop 1/2 = loop 0.5
loop 1/4 = loop 0.25
loop 1/8 = loop 0.125
loop 1/16 = loop 0.0625
loop 1/32 = loop 0.03125
loop 1/64 = loop 0.015625
etc...
or if you want to increase or decrease the size, map percentages
quarter = loop 25%
half = loop 50%
three quarters = loop 75%
double = loop 200%
loop 1/2 = loop 0.5
loop 1/4 = loop 0.25
loop 1/8 = loop 0.125
loop 1/16 = loop 0.0625
loop 1/32 = loop 0.03125
loop 1/64 = loop 0.015625
etc...
or if you want to increase or decrease the size, map percentages

You are correct.. It will 50% down to 1/128.. the only problem is that the skin will only show down to 1/8. so, while you did find a work-around. the issue is still there.
Q1. How will I know if i'm at 1/16 or 1/128?
Q2. Why does it get out of the loop below 1/128?
Q3. Why doesn't loop_half go all the way down to 1/128 as well?
It all looks to me like minor cosmetic issues that can be easily fixed by the developers.

I'm not sure it matters if you know the size beyond what is shown, If you go lower than you can see you are generally not going to mix out of it, more like build and fade into a new track... Just don't hold your breath for something like this to be included in the future as it would have already been done if atomix wanted it... If your trying to do it for the sound, you are better off with a real synth as you have much more control over the final sound, whereas with loops you are at the mercy of the sound in the track and the timing for activating the loop.
For a workaround you could create a couple of skin pannels to go over the existing textzone to show when the loop is at a smaller size than shown.
