Just as a reminder, I can't wait to start ripping all my new stuff to Ogg Vorbis... I'm just waiting on VDJ :).

Your opinion and suggestion has been duly noted.

I for one would rather see AAC supported

Yes, I found that interesting as well. I don't know why there aren't more people jumping on the bandwagon here because of the possibilities in saving space and just having better-sounding music. It is also free to implement... so I don't get it.

I figured that one day I might be able to carry all my songs on my laptop without needing to carry around my external hard drive as well as dealing with having my playlists/songs updated in three locations (laptop [what it can carry], home computer, and external hard drive)... cause it is a whole project on its own.

Maybe someday...

I totally agree with Ogg Vorbis support. And, to another extend, all possible formats. Anyway, it's in the interest of the company to support as much file types as possible...

Is there actually a sort of pluging or anything to be able to play Ogg Vorbis in VDJ ?

No, not at this time.

Question to Kaléo or Equinox: is it possible to write a plugin for a new format support??

This might be a good time for the people who have been asking for ogg support to discuss what encoders they use?
Questions come to mind like what software to rip directly from CD's? (and what quality settings will best emulate "CD Quality"
ie 224 bitrate mp3 or higher, and what settings might emulate "good enough" ie 160 bitrate mp3.

Oh yeah... what kind of losses in quality can be expected for those who may consider converting an mp3 library?
For those of us who are old and fear change, give a BRIEF tutorial on this format.

Thanks.

lol my phone has ogg support its a nice format for compressing music ,
but its mostly used for music production and samples
kinda been used instead of the midi
i dont know how to convert them because i download them as ogg

see having ogg support for vdj would be great coz i use vdj in making music and remixin but u think the sampels bar could be given some improvments like speed or effects and could it be beat aware or loopable ?
thanx
