well it says post anything about Virtualdj or not. I just wanted to get an idea of what everyone is paying for gas around the country...we should all start charging more because of it. So if you want to please post your local price for regular 87 unleaded. over here Philadelphia Pennsylvania (US) it's lowest is 2.99 a gallon and highest is 3.13 remember this is for regular 87 unleaded not 89, 91 or 93

In France: 1,082€ per litre for diesel gas (best price we can find)
Which makes 5,23$ per gallon
I bet you would stop buying gas at that price ;)

Average price per litre in my town (Godalming, Surrey - UK) is 96.2p per litre which is about £3.66 per US Gallon, or $6.73. So double the US price then ;o)

Here on Long Island, NY, I filled up yesterday for $3.25/gallon. There is a Citgo station where it is cheaper, but there were cars lined up puking out into the street trying to get the cheap gas, and it wasn't worth the $0.80 that I would end up saving, just to sit in that mess.
I'll bet with all of the complaining about gas prices in the U.S., most still haven't changed their driving habits appreciably. In fact, how many still drive an SUV on a daily basis?
Research shows that it won't really start to have a siginificant effect on the general public until the price reaches $4.00/gallon? Until then, we will blame the gov't and other countries rahter than taking steps ourselves to reduce the amount of money we spend on gas.
We like to think of ourselves as progressive, adaptive, survivors, etc. but we Americans are a very stubborn people. For example, why else are we still measuring gas in English units (ie gallons,) when even the English are using liters?
Don't get me wrong, I love America; I just enjoy pointing out how silly we can sometimes be.

What you guys in the uk are leaving out is the massive goverment owned transit system, you can get anywhere by train, subway, boat you get the idea. In euorpe cars are less important than than they are in the us. I know for a fact in France you are considered wealthy if you own a car.

here in the UK regular 95 RON goes for about 90p/l. dont know what that is in dollars per gallon but i can tell you we have one of the highest taxes on fuel in the world!
£ is one of the strongest currencies in the world and a litre is conciderably smaller than a gallon so £0.90 may seem like not alot but it is!
