exactly...
Even (when) mic is supported, it wont be good.
These cheep consoles dont have a good mic amp, or can use pro mics.

And (again if you are serious... sorry) get a decent dynamic mic like Shure beta 58.
I see people trying to use cheap computer mics (these are powered, not dynamic and cheap built) totally unacceptable and unprofessional.
We are talking about pro audio here, forget pc accessories.

I think this thread has run its course. Its obvious that some people will never be happy with what we've done to support the bcd2000 and the remaining issuses are with Berhinger and not VDJ.
Inviato Sun 15 Oct 06 @ 9:15 pm
Hehehe Cyder, may i remind you the DEV_Team said VDJ will FULL support BCD in V4.0 not the users.
We are only talking about the missing functions in your so called "full support". Globally saying the last issues are with Behringer is shurely not the right way, as for example there are meny programms wich support Asio-Mic. (btw: even without Asio-Mic VDJ is the best DJ-Soft i know)
So as you can see we really want nothing impossible, we're only asking for the "full support" you promised. With 4.1 you made a big step in the right direction and meny of us are happy with this version.
The last points wich should be done are:
- Asio Mic
- secondary Line In
- programmable buttons (but as we told a mapper is under construction)
And ALL of us will be happy then! ;)
Have a nice Day

There is a difference between native support (as promised), and "full support" the way you see it ;)
Native support was said would be added.. And is done.. ;)
Native supports means it can be used to control VDJ, as BCD2000 now can.
For more features, new ways of mapping etc, the Hercules Control did not even have all working the way it does today. For example scratch on jogweels was not supported the first few releases...
Anyways, maybe asio mic support will be added ;) Dev Team did not rule it out.. Only said that IF it was going to be added, it had to wait past 4.0 release.
And Behringer might update the drivers for mic to be supported in WDM mode (something that already works in VDJ)
One way or the other, mic might be supported...
But mic is really not a part of VDJ. Virtual DJ is a DJ software, and supports mic by the means of Windows support.
If anyone is serious about mic use (say Karaoke DJ, or Talk-Host dj or what else), you shouldn't even consider using mic on these cheap consoles (Hercules or BCD), as they havent got what it takes to run a professional mic ;) Djs using mic, usually to this by connecting it to an external mixer.
Anyways, mic on BCD2000 might come.. ;)

Okay, for those of you skeptics who doesn't think that the mic imput on the bcd2000 work good with professional microphones. I have to tell you that you guys are wrong. When I use my professional mic on the bcd2000 with the bcd200 software it works good. I am also one of those VTDJ member who's hoping that VTDJ could make their software compatible with the mic imput of the BCD2000 ASAP!!!!!!

Hello everyone, I have gotten my bcd2000 to work with VDJ4.1 on one of my PC's at home. But when i try to install on my Dell Inspirion 5100, i cannnot get it to work!!! The first driver installs correctly, but when i try to install the second driver "Behringer BCD2000WDM V1.1.1.0" ,it says "windows cannot install the device driver for this hardware" and it doesnt start up! I have a fresh install of Windows XP SP2. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

If Xylio can do it (Work very well with the BCD2000), why can't Atomix Productions do it as well? I agree that my microphone works well with the BCD2000.

i just bought my bc2000 today. i'm testing it...thursday i would like to play live at club. But i'm havinh trouble. Sound stops after less than one minute playing and buttons dont respond well.
I searched arround the forums but what i found was the screens config for the setup.

Set latency higher, in the B-DJ control pannel
(auto in VDJ)
Freeze of the console occurs when audio buffer runs out of data
Inviato Mon 16 Oct 06 @ 7:00 pm
I already set buffer ti highest...the same...
i saw something about wifi... i would try...

Hello again...
seems that lan conections make freeze vdj runing with bcd2000... i'm vdj radio resident and i play live from the club each friday night, so would this mean i cannot be radio emiting anymore with bcd2000?
Anyone using this?

its a BCD2000 bug...
Behringer recommends disabling LAN,WiFI and Bluetooth to make it work...
sorry
You can try a bit of IRQ tweaking to see if you can get it to work, but thats a hard process, at least in XP.
Trying a different USB port would be the best chance... worth a try :)

I just wanna thank you your hard work and great support dj-in-norway
Inviato Mon 16 Oct 06 @ 8:56 pm
I'd like to remind everyone that Atomix does not make the bcd2000 and supporting it is a gift to users from the dev team.
Inviato Mon 16 Oct 06 @ 9:04 pm
I agree but remember that hardware options make VDJ more atractive to users, so more people decides to have VDJ each time...
anyway...is good to have this tools and this great comunity.

Overall I'm happy with VDJ 4.1 but I have a couple of little niggles of features that have been removed from v3.4. The track timer now is only time elapsed OR time remaining. I prefer to to see both as I use both simultaniously when mixing or playing part tracks. Constantly switching them is a bit of a pain in the arse.
In addition the +/- button by the bpm slider is missing as I reguarly used this for a smoother transition between tracks. Using the mouse is a bit jerky
I'm sur ethese aren't major problems to fix as the programming code is already written from previous versions
Apart from that, for me it's the "Mutts Nuts"

@tonystyles
in your case it is a matter of skin you use. You can try to use the old skin from v3.4 or look for some modified skins of the v4 version that include what you need.
