How deep is the one you have Cyder ?this ones only 17 ' x 19' (inches) . Yours is the only other one I had seen ! They made it for DJ's (apparently) and there not cheap ! $199 us> with slim 300w/350w P/S. Coulored doors if you want to, they can even put any logo printed, of your choice on the case (I see a big VIRTUAL DJ one on there!!!)

You won't find one like that anywhere its only 14 inches deep. And I built it myself all lightweight metal.

My new one which i don't have any pictures of yet but its 18 inches deep and it floats on rubber mounts for increased shock protection. Holds 11 hard drives and a cd rom. and takes a standard power supply. I've used it on a few 100 video gigs with great results.

I just chucked three rackmount pc cases.

I go all shuttles now... rackmounts are too heavy, and too bulky...

shuttles are small, and you can swap one out in 2 minutes... if your rackmount goes down, you're cooked for a good half an hour...

I love shuttle pc's and i've built several for friends and they are a great option. However I think my next setup will be totally custom. I never wanted something everyone can buy :)

Yep that's the shuttle. CYder built the first one for me
Then about 6 mos ago I put another one together.
(With Cyder holding my hand most of the way)
Not rackable per se. However there
are ways to mount then with some rework.
I believe Rick did some modifications to the shuttle and has it
mounted in his case.

Still not convinced about rackmount PCs, they're so very expensive for what they are! I built my PC into my gig case without using a rackmount PC case - check my blog for details....

U2 racks need to use riser cards for all the PCI cards, more $$$
