Actually got the 6.0.3 installed on my Mac just this week and will be playing around with the 2000/900 in HID this weekend. I'll let you know how she goes!

Hi can someone please help me get set up?
I have cdj400's upgraded to 1.30 firmware, i have downloaded the latest asio drivers from pioneer. i have it through a djm400 and mackie srm450's active speakers.
Laptop's are dual core toshiba satelittes 4gb ram - one runs vista 32 bit and other is windows 7. Both have full 6.0.2 and trail version 6.0.3
The big issue I have is break up in the audio (also run denon kit with no problems) if I play a track like if i were a boy beyonce then the vocals break up and stutter? with denon asio you can adjust the buffer, I dont see where you do the same with pioneer? it happens also if i set it up as two sound cards. i have tried with a powered usb as well but no joy?
in 6.0.2 on vista the red ring light spins the wrong way and the track ending warning is constantly flashing
in 6.0.3 trial the ring runs right but still get poor audio.
If I ru it with serato SL1 box i get great sound and no glitching, I dont want to use the serato box on my mobile set up.
Do I have these in native mode? any ideas or tips on set up please? loving VDJ and want the cdj's to work please

@stevejotom: Have you tried changing the preferences (presets or latency) on the Performances tab within the Config?

Hi,
I have a Pioneer DJM5000 and SEP-C1 controller and have just moved to using VDJ from another package, I am loving it so far and the controller is working well in HID mode to VDJ but I have a couple of strange little issues that I would really like to resolve.
1. The Deck load buttons work but are not illuminated blue in VDJ unlike DJS
2. The Dial Control is again not illuminated blue in VDJ unlike DJS
3. Deck A shows time remaining which is perfect however Deck B shows time elasped and I cannot seem to change it to remaining.
Anyone able to shed some light on these issues?
Thanks in advance.
Steve

I am considering buying Pioneer CDJ-200 with a Gemeni mixer is it possible to connect it to a laptop along with certain dj software?
Would extra cables or devices be needed?
will be much appreciated
thanks

You'd need a soundcard unless the Gemini mixer has one built-in, plus you'd need two timecode CDs if you plan on using the CDJ200's as controllers for the software. Keep in mind that the only thing you'll really be able to control is the playback start/stop, FF/RW seek, jog adjustments, looping and pitch.

Staffy - read this thread -- http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/119414/General_Discussion/DJM_5000___VirtualDJ.html
What you willfind is some dialog between a few of us on what should be setup ... if you still have question right back or PM me ... but really the only thing you will probably need to worry about on the MIDI side is if you run video then tieing the crossfader to the video crossfader.
But have a read and write back :)

I work with the CDJ-400 and virtual dj. Works perfect.
Althoug there\'s 1 thing I would like to see changed.
If I,m busy mixing and press start on the descs. The music starts imediatly.
But if I have a pause for example 3 minutes. The play buttun doesn't react quite as acurate. sometimes it takes more than 0.5 seconds!
After that point everything is quick again.
It looks like it\'s in a kind of sleep mode after 1 minute and you have to awake it before you start.
Is that a problem you can solve by making some adjustments somewhere?
Hope you can help me solve the problem.
Kindest regards,
Ruud van Rijen

Hello DJ Pulse,
Couple of questions, I just recently purchased a DJM 600 recently and it should be coming in in a couple of days, is that mixer easily compatible with vDJ?
Second, I am debating over which soundcard is the best for me, i've narrowed down to the Gigaport HD or the Numark I/O in that I am trying to keep it >$200. If you or any one has an idea on which soundcard is the best, please let me know.
Thanks

The DJM600 is only compatible as an audio mixer. There is no USB connection, nor MIDI interface.
Any soundcard will do, but if you plan on using timecode CDs you'll certainly need one with at least 4 RCA inputs and 4 RCA outputs.

Suitable sound cards for timecode include Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ, Hercules DJ Trim and ESI Maya44 USB.
The Gigaport and Numark DJIO are not suitable for timecode because they lack the necessary inputs.

We finally got in our CDJ-2000s and we couldnt wait to play with em. As usual, Pioneer doesnt disappoint.
My excitement was short lived, tho. When we linked them up to our PC using VDJ, the performance was less then expected.
There seems to be a lag between the movement of the platter and the response of the software.
Anyone found a remedy to this yet??

How so ?
Have you made adjustments in the VirtualDJ Options tab for Scratch, Cue and Bend sensitivity?
What is the Vinyl Adjustment setting at on the CDJ2000?
The versitility of both the software and hardware means you might have to make adjustments straight out of the box to satisfy your individual liking.

CDJ 2000's Problem
I also have a problem I'm running virtual vinyl and updated to the newest version 6 3. First to the pioneer rep, everything seems to be working fine on the cdj end. I connect the cdj to VV and all the buttons seem to work and work great, but the platter is not.. when you grab the patter and move it a loop starts and thats what seems to let you move the track like you would if you where using time code's and 50% of the time when you let the platter go at any part it continuous to play fine but the other 50% of the time the loop stays on and your track is now in a off beat loop... the only way to stop the loop is to hit the reloop/exit button a couple of times or touch the platter again for a second but then you just fuck up your mix if its on time.... I hope you can tell me why its doing this... i will post a video soon if you like of whats happening...
thanks.

There is something very weird with your unit then ... because there is nothing related to loops and the platter in the mapping of the controller in VirtualVinyl. Do you any other external controllers? Did you modify any of the mapping for the CDJ2000?
