I'm sure your description of "strippers" is accurate if you are in one of the trailer park style strip clubs. There are however upscale clubs where your stripper profile falls flat. I personally know some of the "dancers" in a few clubs in Tampa, one is particular is a registered nurse who's in charge of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Tampa General. She doesn't work the club for the money but does it occasionally as a break from a very stressful job. (She see's a LOT of dead babies)

I know a few others who are your basic soccer moms (well educated) who need a little extra income to pay the bills and buy shoes for the kids. These are not the type ladies you would see at the drive through window asking if you want your fries SUPER-SIZED. Not that there's anything wrong with that if that's what puts food on the table. The strip club "Cafe Risqué" just outside Gainesville is well know to have strippers who are mostly college students from the University of Florida. They are also paying the bills while becoming doctors and lawyers.

So I'll concede there are some "sperm burping losers" in many of the trailer park type strip clubs but there are other venues where burping after a sip of beer would not be considered lady like.

We need to get you out more. :-)

i get out plenty , gorgeous , thanks for your concern . i find myself busy enough that i actually have no cable tv .......don't do a lotta watching the ole idiot box ...... my mobile biz keeps me shuffling along with my walker and so does the nights out at Philly's Pleasure Garden Club , which is for knotty adults . I am fortunate to be let in at the club even on the couple's only nights , if I am by myself. I should post up a pic of me and Cinnamon , I'll try to get some pics with her from New Years . She'll be the hot black babe about my age with the major league yabos and the hourglass figure that makes you muse " why is Chuck in that picture " ? it's my aftershave

I am standing by every word about the dancers . Around Philly the strippers are very drug involved . I have worked in Oasis , Purple Orchid , and others. In Philly the best are Oasis , Gold Club and Delilah's .A buddy works at Gold Club and I can relay that they seem to be a mess there also. To answer Teary , takeout is almost always available .....if she needs rent money or a fix .

I wish they were soccer moms looking for some extra bucks , that would be so normal ...... I was born in Jacksonville , Fla. and can state without fear of contradiction that many things are more better in Fla , esp. the beautiful dj babes ; so i'm sure the strippers are ladylike and speak with a drawl

Tayla , the tune i would most like a cool vid for at the moment would be Akon's "right now " if you can manage

there are actually a number of things about strip clubs to reccomend them , that has nothing to do with the women .... still that milieu is kinda rough for any rookie ...... if you are a mobile guy , it can actually help you , if you aspire to dance clubs and scratching , strip clubs wouldn't let you use those skills

mobil gigs feel like a vakay to me ... they pay better and they are only 4, 5 hours .......currently i do 7, 10 , and 14 hour shifts ......week in and week out i do 2 14 hour shifts as a regular thing

2 funny true stories in the how to make a stripper blush category .........

i am talking to Mia a very hot puerto rican girl , very hot box and temperament , to her credit doesn't do any drugs and luckily doesn't hold her alcohol well at all ......Adeva is standing next to us telling me how her husband could make me magnetic and other signs for my mobile biz ....

this doesn't interest Mia , who amuses herself by sticking her hand down my pants and grabbing a handful of manly jewelry ,and then declaring with a straight face and amazing seriousness " hey, he's hairy " .....Adeva turned redder in the face than anyone i've ever seen , i think , and then i realized .... she really IS married ... damn

Frank seems to have a hunch what she wants so he loads a cd in a player ...... Adrianna just has to know what the cd is so instead of asking bends low to look at the face of the rackmount player ........and since her face is about 2 inches from Frank's crotch , I said .......Adrianna ,you don't have to audition AGAIN .....

You gotta play what the girls ask for. Your job is to make the girls dance and have a good time. All these people tellin you they are a dime a dozen and play what you want despite what they do.....you wont last too long.

taking there requests when the request is terrible is the same at a strip club as it is anywhere else .......

it's chlamydia , she asks me with a str8 face , to play Bright Eyes !!!!!!! i don't know how far the needle has to be up your arm to think that is music ...... i actually bust out laughing , i couldn't help it ........

you can't play requests like that , ever

uuuuuhhhhh Renee , I don't have any problem with you , unfortunate that the reverse isn't true , but you won't find any back pedaling from me on my comments .

I understand you know some strippers that are the exception and not the rule . I am perplexed why anyone who doesn't know well large groups of them like me , would defend them . They are not working class heroes bravely struggling against great odds to overcome male
oppression.They aren't anywhere near organized , motivated or on time enough to accomplish much of anything . I stated in a previous post that i wish i had some soccer moms , that would be great

As far as being str8 faced goes , in future , I will make it a point to state that when they are too spaced out to notice there surroundings or the absurdity of a request , or some obvious impropriety on there part , I will call that "unsmiling" .

When Prince wrote " act your age , mama , not your shoe size " she must 've been a stripper ........

Like I used to tell guys who used to come to the DJ booth and tell me they're taking one of the dancer's home.......

I'd always be laughing at the end of the night when he's drunk, broke and going home alone. The worst part was they'd do this two or three nights IN A ROW!!!

Basically there are 2 types of dancers in this world

1) Drugged up Party girl.
These are one step up from street prostitutes. They have Low self esteem, bad boyfriends and generally make any poor decision you can think of including doing "take out service"

2) Cutthroat Pro.

These are the girls that have decided that shaking they're ass is easier, quicker money than actually working for a living. Most are moderately to Very well educated, good self esteam, and No emotional baggage. Mainly because they're too interested in making you wallet lighter than finding a boy-toy.

They'll do 60 - 75 lap dances a night,( at 30/per) do the math....

Plus 3 stage shows a night (usually at about 70 bucks per show.)

They'll show up on time, Be in costume, Give you a cd with music on it, and then leave you alone.




Take a guess which one I liked to play music for and the ones I had to chase around to get onstage or to the VIP room.

I'm get all melancholy writing this.
 
I'm sure I will catch some flak for this but, I'm going to have to agree with 95% of what Chuck is saying. Having worked in the same club for five and a half years, I've seen enough to write quite a few books. My rules when it comes to music are these:

Don't play if....

* The owner will come in and slit my throat.

* It will cause customers to flat out leave.

* The "entertainer" never tips.

The problem is there are a lot of girls (at least in my personal experience) that think the best music to dance to is music they just heard on the radio. This is because most of the "entertainers" are very inward focused. They don't treat what they are doing as a business, and try to figure out what pleases the customer. (Besides seeing them half or fully naked depending on your workplace) There are plenty of times where I have the room rockin, guys are throwing money all over the place, and a dancer comes to me with a request that I know will kill the room. I flat out turn them down. If they have a problem with it, I send them to our GM or owner who will immediately back me up. So just like in a regular dance club, you need to use your better judgment. You wouldn't play every song some Joe came and asked you to play in a regular club would you? As soon as you give the dancer the impression she is running you, it's over. You will never be able to get that girl back to center and help make money for everyone.

I also agree with Marcel. I've worked with plenty of "pros" that would wipe the room with a lot of the girls that just walked in the door. They are on time, don't get totally wasted, and even give me a playlist.(A decent playlist, with variety!) And to top it off, tip me like it's the last time they will see me. I love those girls, I just wonder where they all went, because they aren't at my club!
 
I'm at one club 4 years resident and a year and a half as the world's worst fill in ........

the outsiders looking in really don't know .... thanks derrick for the support ..... i don't care what the strippers say about ya , and neither should anyone else .....

we used to have 1 or 2 pros but our inept mgt have run them off

i do agree with one item you hear about from the feminazi's and that is the one's that are really strung out should not be tolerated and should be terminated .....they actually get strung along by the venues and end up owing large (for them) sums to the house and stiffing the dj's

that situation is ripe for abuse , such as making them pay back the money with "favors " or having them show up pay the house a little bit , keep enough for the next fix and leave ....only to show up tomorrow and do it again .... providing take out to work it off could turn out to be
tragic ....that needs to change

the venues are too cheap to do the right thing and fix these issues ....

if they just made them pay everything due including the dj when they came in the door that would drive away the drug addicts
 
my lady friend i mentioned ? she's an ex dancer ....nowadays she's a dance instructor , she's an exception to the rule ,they do exist

but she (i suspect) probably always had a lil sumpin on the ball due to her upbringing..... she's an ex Army brat and grew up on Army bases in Germany , she speaks German and English

the two of us in a room ..... that's a whole lotta not tolerating the turkeys goin'on .......

but we both are way into music esp classic rock and motown , we like a lil no strings fun , and we don't suffer fools

Chuckster this could not be further from the truth, I very much enjoy your posts. Most of the stuff here is very technical and not especially entertaining for me.

As far as "back pedaling" you can remain comfortably seated on your BIG WHEEL. Your experiences are yours, and what you say is 100% correct based on your experiences.

I'll concede that you are probably right the majority probably do fit into your "stripper profile". The reason I chimed in I have never been comfortable seeing any race, group, or profession all thrown in the same box. Not all museums are terrorists but they have a TON of really screwed up members in their ranks, just like strippers.

I am not against any class of people or any people with class ......

Your nurse friend I am sure is very beautiful and capable and professional ..... which makes her extremely unusual .... I am also positive that the

people in the industry that should be interested in making women like her the rule rather than the exception are far too cheap and sleazy to do

so...... as proof of that , let me remind you that these people are willing to jeopardize liquor and cabaret licenses by having these drug addicts on there premises .....they rely on having very strong legal representation ......... and the fact that joe public who is probably married , is not gonna complain about much, if anything

there are no professionals , i said this before .....management , security ..... what's the difference , they're all bouncers .......

if you and i had lobotomies , we are still smarter than the general manager .......

it's enough to make you appreciate soccer moms .........
