Hi All
I have just upgraded from the Hercules MK2 to the RMX and i'm having trouble getting the sound to come out of my headphones. I need this to work obviously so that I can hear the next track before mixing.
I used the same setup as I did with the Hercules MK2 but just doesn't seem to work.

Forgot to mention that I'm using my PC speakers.

I'm also using a 1/4 Stereo Plug to 3.5mm Stereo Socket Adaptor: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=996 for my headphones which I use with my walkman, could this be the cause?
Because I have also seen: Stereo to mono adapter: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=995 are the adapters different?

Why are you using to soundcards? when you can just use the RMX's.
Try these setting in the Sound setup tab
Inputs: None
Outputs: headphones
Soundcard: DJConsole RMX
Output Channels: Master: Chan 1&2 / Headphone: Chan 3&4

Dont plug the speakers to the computer, you need to use the RMX and make sure speakers are plugged into that as well as the headphones

Hmmmm strange, how come I could do it with the MK2 and not the RMX?
My setup with the MK2 was:
Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound cards: 2 cards
Sound card: Hercules MK2
Second card: X-Fi Audio
When I had it like this I could have 1 deck running on 1 card and the 2nd deck on the other card, enabling me to listen to the main track on speakers and next track on my headphones.
My setup with the MK2 was:
Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound cards: 2 cards
Sound card: Hercules MK2
Second card: X-Fi Audio

Ok I have just found a couple of other posts with peeps having the same problem as me.

Looks like its a prob with the RMX not allowing 2 sound cards to run simultaneously and routing any line to a secondary device for headphone preview or beat matching.
I've deceided to go back to my MK2. :0(
