It works better for me than Virtual does. It includes It's own sound card, (it's not Serato BTW)

So Syberman My free trail will be ending soon but your saying the M-Audio is better than the maya 44 or is it just a matter of preference?
No, stability. When I had the Maya, I used to pray everytime my computer was booting up that the Maya was detected. 8 out of 10 times, it wasn't. It came to a point where I never unplugged the Maya from my laptop. That was a pain! When it was detected, the right TT was not detected. The venue where I dj at, the manager always saw me sweat up a storm because I had a floor packed with people ready to dance. But I always had connection issues.
Now, I go, setup and up and running in 5 minutes. No sweating, praying and doubtful. Connectiv is a monster and works extremely well with VDJ. I highly recommend to everyone here. You will be gald that you did! I must say, I do not work for Connectiv or M-Audio. They have a great product.

So are we saying the connective is better than the maya?
I have the maya but have found its not outputting loud enough even though the settings are maxed out.
Does the connectiv have a louder output range? And is compatible with ASIO for timecoding purposes?
If so I may look at getting this!

Yes, Connectiv is 100 times better than Maya and it supports ASIO. And it is louder than Maya.

I was looking at the connectiv online, and I was wondering if there is anyway to get it without the mixing software it comes with. I plan on using it with VDJ, and don't care about the other software. I would really rather not spend $300. If I'm gonna do that, I might as well spend the extra $200 and get Serato. I really like VDJ though, been using it for 3 years (without any outboard controllers). I was about to buy a Maya 44, but I've seen a lot of bad stuff about it lately. Please help!

Just as another alternative to the maya, everybody raves about the native instruments audio 8 and audio 4 sound cards.

I've got the maya 44 and for the most part it's fine. But sometimes yeah you have to unplug and re-plug it in before it gets recognised.
