Hi,

Can we get any idea of the next update and what improvements it will include? I am really needing some fixes for the Denon HS5500 controller, especially the platter slowdown (warbling) problem. Also, the ability to use two of them would be great.

Thanks!

Taipanic

I have been around these forums for two years now and have never heard it discussed openly what updates to expect. Sorry to tell you that. Hang in there, I expect good things in 2009 from VDJ....

Bugs or things that need improvements in controller support is of course on top of list of comming updates.
It will get adressed

Very cool. I know you guys are working hard, and I appreciate it. Just want to get my system working right...

Thanks,

Taipanic

Has the search crash problem been addressed in the next update?

I'm still waiting for a bug in the sort function to be sorted from September - nobody has actually stated if it will be in the next update or not. Waiting 3 months for bugfixes is quite poor imo

Thats how I feel about my video not working the last 2 years...

don't know the story behind what's happening with your video jim but have you ever thought it may be hardware and not a software problem. each machine that i have put mine into plays video ok.

Last 2 laptops I have had do it when harware acceleration is on. Both have nVidia cards, I am by far not the only person with this problem.

What people need to understand when it comes to updates is this.

Almost everyone out there has some sort of problem with software, vdj included. However, programmers cannot be putting updates out there everyday, it would be madness! This program would still be in version 1.1r974566378...
Even Microsoft puts out service packs out once or twice a year tops. IMO vdj gets regular updates compared to other softwares, these guys just like to get things right the first time, every time. I have gone through 3 desktops and now 2 laptops, and came to the conclusion that all my issues were because of the following:

1 - I didn't bother to read the manual
2 - I missed something in the setup
3 - i didn't bother to search the forums for answers

BTW: I also have an NVIDIA laptop and its working ok for me...

There is a known bug with Nvidia 8*** serias cards, alot of users have minor freezes when loading tracks on to the "other deck" All I get is slow loading, which I can live with.

I don't know whether the dev team have found a answer or are looking into it, or whether it's just a Nvidia bug with these cards, but it's been a issue, for well over a year now.

I assume you have tried enabling SpeedLoad?

Where can we post something we wnt in an upcoming update??

Like I use it at a strip club 2 nights a week and i would love to set the auto mix to fade every 3 minutes

You can put a request in the Wishes & New Features forum, however posting it does not necessarily mean it will be included.

What model of nVidia card do you hav?mine is a 8600m GT and no matter what I have done from updating drivers to updating directX can I get it to work with the transitions. What OS are you using?

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA) on vista

That is not an issue of Atomix Productions and/or VirtualDJ. It is Numark's product and their decision to make.

This is also a problem on the 9*** series cards. I have an 8600 gt on one computer and a 9600gt oc on the other. Ironically the freezing is LESS and issue ont he 8600...I credit that to the fact that machine has a core 2 duo and the 9600 machine has an amd athlon 64xp dual core. From everything I have seen and read the intel core 2 due is MUCH better for videos than any AMD chip available.

The really ironic thing is some videos I have a problem freezing on one machine work perfectly fine on the other and vice versa.
