Hey crew i have a problem... kinda ok so i have turntables and a mixer and a maya 44 usb and timecoded vinyl and i plug it all together and it works 100% nicely etc etc and i also plug in a speaker to my mixer to get sound obviously because if i plug it into my laptop sound jack sound wont come out i know this... heres the problem when i plug in everything together the sound from the speakers arent 100% clean i meen when the music isnt playing you cant really tell that much but when there is no music playing there is this weird muffled sound... now when i only use a laptop and speakers to dj with vdj i plugin the speakers to the laptop sound jack and the sound is crystal clear no muffled sound or anything and i have noticed that the timecoded vinyl also makes a beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep sound when i put the needle on the record and spin it with or without music from vdj and stuff.... this is really weird how do i get a crystal clear sound like i would as if i were playing from my laptop...
oh and if i dont use vdj and use straight up normal vinyl with my tts and mixer the sound is clear ofcourse but its just when i set up my tts mixer maya 44 usb and laptop with vdj alltogether this is what happens.....
oh and if anyone can tell me one more thing... when i press record to record a mix using my tts etc with vdj and i crossfade with my mixer the music i recorded doesnt record the cuts i made... how can i fix these problems?
THanks And sorry for it being this long!!!!!!

Mute the outputs that correspond to your inputs, in your soundcard settings, to stop the timecode "beep" to play out loud. In the maya control pannel you can do this.

As for the hummming sound, this is most likely due to ground loop, a very common problem with laptops in an audio envirement.
Try running the laptop on batteries only, to check if this is the problem. When on batteries, if the humming is gone, its a ground loop.

To get rid of it, try a different power outlet (not having all the equipment on same power circle), and if this dont work, get a ground loop eliminator from a local radio store (its cheap)

Hope that helps ;)

dj in norway you rock bro
