Topic: source button on RMX

I finally had a chance to play with my rmx controller.. But I have one problem.. The source input button is inop.. I tried to input the sound from my dvd player into the controller but it's a no go..I am using the provide software that the RMX came with at the moment..Could this be the problem?? Do I need to install pro to get it to work??

I also set the sound card to 4 output if that helps...

I need the source input to wo0rk so when I use my laptop to play the slideshows, I have the rmx to contol the volume..

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Try to set the soundcard in VDJ to RMX. Then VDJ and the RMX is set to ASIO-mode. The source buttons should work then.

off the top of my head think these should be your settings (really should remember, but i'm tired, lol.) open vdj > config > sound set up....

inputs > none

output > headphones

soundcard(s) use rmx

eg > do not tick

master output chanell 1&2 h/phones chanell 3&4
 
as far as i know from the hercules website you have to change your settings on your rmx console screen to inputs 3/4 instead of 1/2.not sure but i would like to use laptop 1/2 and also say ipod 3/4 is this possible

Ok..I finally gave it a try..STILL A NO GO!!!

dj console rmx:

input 1-2: line in/phone

input 3-4:line in/phone

firmware v.1.1.29.4

sound setup in VDJ:

inputs: none

outputs: headphones

sound card: 4-out card

driver:hercules dj console rmx aggregate

output channels: master: chan 1&2/headphones cahn 3-4

I have my ipod connected to input 1-2 and still no sound with the source 1 button pressed..

all this run on a macbook with osx 10.5.5 4 g ram..

Faulty unit??? If I try to make the sound card as the rmx console, I have a "error in sound driver" message..

any help would be greatly appreciated..

I just want the output of my dvd player to be input into source 1 so I can have audio when I play the slideshow..

It sounded that u have the pro mac version of VDJ. I would advised to register it at ur profile and get the recent version that is available;)

Return to the configuration Tayla suggested previously regarding VDJ.

Next, go the the Rmx Control Panel, and make sure that for Input 1/2, LINE IN is selected, otherwise it obviously won't work.
 
I can't use rmx as a sound card or else I'd get a sound card error..And yes, I've made sure that the input 1/2 is selected..

If you go in the Rmx Control Panel ABOUT tab, what information do you have there ?
