what is the best way to write the id3 tags of songs after ripping them from cds?????

I use a tagging program called Tag&Rename. Have a look here. Been using it for well over a year now with no problems.
I not saying it's the best, but it's the best one I've tried.

I am hoping that your Ripper program pulled them for you when you rip them... If not you got a long road ahead.
If the song files are already named properly you can use a software I use called MP3 Tag Studio.
http://www.download.com/MP3-Tag-Studio/3000-2141_4-10022847.html?tag=mncol
I loved it. Works perfectly
It will work like virtual DJ does.
Let's say your file is named as follows...
Van Halen - Jump.mp3
You can tell the program that the first set of text before the hyphen is the ARTIST and the text after the hypen is the TITLE. MP3 tag studio will then write the tag to the file.
Hope this helps.

Hy,
do i understand you right?
You have burned songs to a DVD and now you want take back to mp3 an add the tag's?
Do you know what how the songes named on the dvd, or you have a list?
If you have this use for example http://www.mp3tag.de/ (also a english version is available and freeware)
Use your list to rename by batch. Fast, believe me.
If you got no infomation in a track you can only put the tag information inside by use the keyboard, sorry.
For sale are many products who complete, incomplete tracks. But there must be a little bit for beginn to search.
I ripp my own bought cd's by iTunes. I don't like them but the soft is great.
Moren 95% of my cd collection was found at once.
Those cd's that iTunes doesn't find, i rip the tracks anyhow.
But search then at the internet for the tracklist and put it via mp3tag into the tracks.
Hope i helps a little bit
