Well I just pre-ordered 2 of the new Denon 3700. So if anyone is looking for 3500's that are in excelent shape hit me up. The new 3700's are poised to be a CDJ killer. They do have built in ASIO sound card (however I wont be using because I will use that of the Ecler Evo 5), also has usb support (so that means it can read mp3s off any usb device);Cd player; and Midi mode. So all 3 hot cue buttons and loop features will work, along with key lock and pitch. All this can be mapped to Virtual DJ. So once I get them and try them out, I will post virtual DJ mappings for the units. Oh for you turntable lovers.....9 inch platter on these babies!

The only issue is native platter support. Hopefully it will come soon as it is the same setup as the HS5500. The current Denon platter support is not usable, IMHO. Your other option would be to use TCCD but you would lose the MIDI ability. Can't wait until it's fixed - I love using the HS5500 with VDJ and really want to use the platter and have the ability to connect two units!

I have to say that I had a look on Denons web site and what an improvement as an ex DNS user the larger platter with the technics pattern and the spindle will feel great I just hope the scratching is good a lot of what you hear from CD turntables sounds digital.

Did you try a S3700 yet?
You should reserve your opinion until you do
If scratching is your thing, then check this out.

So far, This is the only product that i've seen that would lean me away from the NS7.
What is the price for these units and is there a release date for USA?

Silvio (Assuming it's you posting for Denon)
I'm seriously considering 2 of these also, was going for 2 5500's but I think I like this more.
What is the problem VDJ are having implementing Native Support with these new units.
It seems fairly pointless if we can't reap the rewards of such a fantastic unit.
Cheers,
Ross

Well I think these new 3700's blow away the Pioneer MK3.............You may want to stop at your local GC and get a hands on feel. These these are working out great. Honestly, they feel real close to my 1210 m5g.

Hi everyone!
I´m also thinking about buying a denon cd-player. But currently I´m stuck between the Denon DNHS 5500 and the new Denon DNS 3700. What are your opinions between these two if you had to make this choice? And what would be the reason.
Best regards
Marcel

when i see equipment, i have to test it out at the store. I have tested all the Denon Table tops and im hoping this one is better.. It looks impressive due to the large size jog. I don't know about blowing away. Pioneers are known for best performance. Its rare to have lens errors or motor problems, the pioneer is " Industry standard " Ill wait patiently for feed back. If i hear good things, then ill probably get a pair

Yep, after 8-years and two facelifts, these outdated and waaaay overpriced "CD only" CDJ's no longer have the same appeal for today's modern DJ who has moved away from CD's and into a DVS system or standalone USB playback solution like the S3700, which also supports MIDI, a built-in sound card and "CD" for “total” solution within a "real" tuntable factor.

I have been spinning since 1979. I was taken back to the 80's when I saw the pics of these players. I got my hands on them and bought a pair on the spot. They are awesome! It is like 1200's without the hassle of low frequency feed back and jumping needles! The queing, platter feathering, scratching, and any other technique you use, works flawlessly! They are highly responsive and accurate. The onboard features and effects are icing on the cake. The feel is the best thing about them. Being that I spent most of my carreer on tables, I found it awkward using my index finger to spin little plastic wheels for mixing. The s-3700 bridges the gap between vinyl and digital world and has rekindled my love for seamless beatmixing, long mixes, and overlays. In my opinion, it is the best player out there for people who love vinyl.

P.S. All we need now is native support from VDJ for the s-3700's. Then the world will be perfect!(My world for sure)
