Topic: Several Questions Please Advice

I am about to download the virtual dj to see what it is all about. I have a few questions before I get started that way I get the full use out of the program before I download it instead of wasting time trying to figure things out. Question number one, it says that the download is a fully operational download, so does that mean I will be able to monitor tracks as well as mix tracks? I have a usb sound card as well as a internal card that came with my computer. I plan on using my usb for the master controls and the on board sound card for montioring. Will I need to set anything up to do this and if so how will I go about doing so? I also am just using this program for mixing tracks I have saved already on my computer not using any external mixers or componets as of yet. Mainly concerned with the master play and monitoring play. Any help on this matter would be Great. I have used other mixing programs that dont allow this feature so want to make sure this can be done before I download the software.

There is nothing restricted in the demo version. You can't download skins or plugins though.

You can monitor but I don't think you can use seperate cards to do so.

If you have a 6 channel card then you can have 2 output and one monitor channel.

The manual is on the wiki page. I suggest you have a good read of that to see if the features you need are supported by VDJ

Edit, you can use 2 cards, select the 3 channel mixer option. I never knew it was there as I use the Asio card in my denon controller.
 
Are you the same Richie Rich that's done a few mixes for X-Mix?
