I'm interested in getting a recording device, so I'll be able to listen my sessions.. I was thing something both digital and analog, any suggestions ladies and gents?
ps I am using an external mixer(I know that VDJ can record ur sessions, not too certian if it can if u got other stuff going through the external mixer)..

If the computer you use for djing has a line in on the soundcard, you can do this already. Run a cable from your mixer's output (most have a spare "record" or "booth" out that you can use) into your line-in socket on your soundcard - you'll probably need something like a stereo minijack to two phono plugs kind of cable for this. In the record settings in vdj, you can choose to record from the software output, or from a line-in. Set it up to record from line in, and you'll get whatever comes out of your mixer, VDJ, CD players, mics, the lot.... Don't forget to check your soundcard's level settings to make sure your line in is activated and turned up...
