Topic: Midi assignment file for Hercules RMX?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hi all,

I'm trying to reprogram the numeric buttons on my Hercules RMX to do 2/4/8/16 beat auto loops. These aren't options in the drop downs in the RMX skin, so think I'll need to set them by treating the RMX as a generic midi controller and editing the assignment file.

Does anyone have a midi assignment file for the RMX to get me started? Thanks a lot!

have you checked out the plug in section? plus have a look in skins at the new rmx skin made by touchdan, great work by the guy.

Thanks. Looks like some of that might help, but can't access without committing buying the a Pro version (currently using the 21 day Pro trial that came with the RMX). Hesitant to pay for a license without knowing if this will solve the problem - and still figuring out whether to go with the VCI-300/Itch.

@tayla: which skin do you refer to? i can't see a skin by djtouchdan for the rmx, only the rmx skin by clavel, which allows you to assign effects to the 6+6 buttons, but not to set fixed loops to them...?

@tayla

I believe what all of us in this thread is after is the ability to change the 6+6 buttons to loops, not effects.

The page you keep linking people to is only a skin, and a video one at that.
As Dan said to me in my thread, it will not have the ability to change the effects buttons to loops, as it is a skin file, not a midi config file.

The midi config file for the RMX/Steel is what we want, and be buggered if I can find it.

If I have made a mistake in what I have said I humbly apologize.

Matt.
