Hi Guys,
I have spent a lot of times for trying to find the answer to my question but didn't find anything related to my question...so here it is.
I have a laptop with VDJ and i would like to buy hercules console RMX.
I have external speakers connected to my laptop and i don't have any LINE IN input ...onjly microphone and headphones where is my speakers are connected.
My console RMX would be connected to my laptop with the USB cable.
i will also connect my headphone to the RMX to hear the mp3 before mixing.
the RMX console have it's own sound card so i presume i would need to change the VDJ config to use the RMX sound card as my default sound card...
If i want to RECORD LIVE my mix with VDJ do i need to connect something special from my RMX (output 1/2) to go back to my laptop ??....
You see if i use the RMX sound card as default in VDJ am i be able to record my mix even if the rmx console is not connected to my pc in the line in input ??....
i'm a little bit confuse about this part.....
My goal is to buy this console and not be surprise that it is not working on a laptop because i don't have the correct settings..
could you please guys help me to understand HOW i need to connect and configure my RMX console with VDJ and be able to hear the sound from my external speakers that are connected to my laptop and be able to hear the mp3 in my headphone that are connected to my RMX console and be able to RECORD my mix LIVE....

Martin, you will be able to record your mixes via the RMX soundcard. The RMX will become your default soundcard once it's connected, (that's if don't tell it other wise)
All you will have to do is hit the record option in VirtualDJ. VirtualDJ will then do all the magic for you, lol. All you have to do is tell it where you would like the mp3 or wav file placing. You can use it's default setting or a location of your chose.
