he's not recorded his MP3s at 48kbs. thats the speed of the internet stream.
Ive used shoutcast to stream virtualDJ and i've had no issues with 192kbs on a 1 meg internet connection.

It was the opening statement that was funny
Inviato Sun 22 Feb 09 @ 12:57 pm
I'm glad you all find it amusing.... although i don't see what's so funny about it. When it comes to my family and surviving i will do anything and that includes selling my dj equipment to survive because my kids and my wife won't live off of vynyl. And with the economy the way it is.. it's almost impossible to get a job in fact most places i have seen have been laying off people. Anyhow i'm glad you all think it is a big joke HAHA.

I didnt find 'being skint' as funny.
i do find it quite sad that you had to sell your turntables and vinyl though.

Well yeah gotta do what you gotta do to survive...and I was sad also. But at least virtual dj is around to keep me from going insane from not being able to have my equipment, I can still continue to do what i love which is music. And whenever the economy comes back to stable condition then i can look forward to getting a new job and new equipment.

There's only one thing better than a Technics 1210 mk2....
--- and thats another brand new Technics 1210...
Hope things get better for you.
Many of us are loosing jobs these days, companys closing, etc..
Youre not alone.

oh I've worked with the 1210's .... but the next time i get new equipment i'm going for the SL DZ 1200's... although I have never used the Pioneer CDJ's before... I have used the Denon. I figure why not get digital turntables that I will be use to and since the dz 1200's are the same design as the mk2 i'm pretty sure i would get use to them very quickly.

speaking of other turntables, i got a pair of Stanton str8-100's
they got switchable output phono/line. handy for me, as i dont have phono on my mixer.
they have master tempo
front line in for ipod...
ive only ever used them for recording music to harddrive... lol

Heh, yeah they are not bad turntables, i'm not a big fan of straight arm tables... although I would rather take those stantons over a gemini table anyday... another good table is the numark.

As a DJ that's been bankrupt, lost his house and everything and had to start again! don't for one minute thing that I thought that the financial situation was funny it was this statement: So when I see someone rate my mixes with a 1 out 5,just remember what I am using and you try to do it using a dj program such as this (VDJ)
YOU LOT CAN PISS OFF YOU DICKS
YOU LOT CAN PISS OFF YOU DICKS

Ahhh I see, well yeah it kind of upsets me... but nowhere in my page does it say "Piss Off". But as i said yes it kinda gets under my skin when someone votes a 1/5 especially after well now it's 15 yrs of dj'ing. Although i can't be certain and say for sure who votes like that although it is usually younger generation people like 13 to 16 yr olds who think they're all that when in fact most aren't although i am pretty sure there is some very talented dj's in that age range. I use to think I was the $hit when I first started off but I know I'm not... cause no matter how good someone is there is someone around the corner that is better. Although the attitude of thinking you are the best is the only way anyone can improve themselves... but to boast it outloud wouldn't be wise.

You seem like a stand up guy willing to work hard and take the lumps, I respect that.
I think what upset some of your fans here is that you referred to the software in a way that would insult them, and I take issue as one who has taken and heard it all from the days when we were basically theives and crooks ruining this industry.
While you have taken the leap into this format, be proud of what you do, it doesn't matter what a dj decides to use as more and more are finding out finally.
If a dj mixes better wearing pink panties, than so be it.
Its what comes out of the speakers that matters.
There are a lot of seasoned veterans in this forum from all over the world.
Most of them will go to great lengths to help users improve.
When you realise how much more you can do with software, it will be all you want including a Pro license.
Good luck with the battle, we all feel it.

Oh i have no problems with the software at all, I love VDJ .... my point to the people who was voting the 1/5 is that you can't compare using dj software to using turntables and hardware, that was the point i was trying to get across. Although i only have one downfall with VDJ is that only 2 decks can be used at a time on the same screen... although you can load VDJ several times to have as many tables as you wish. But switching between several instances of VDJ is a hassle. Perhaps VDJ would consider putting 3 decks on one screen... that's just a suggestion. But no i'm not bashing VDJ in any way, just the people that vote the way they do and putting the fact this is software and can't be compared to hardware.
Inviato Sun 22 Feb 09 @ 5:50 pm
Even VDJ users are not immune from mean-spiritedness from what I can see. Sad...really. Isn't there a song for those that has the lyrics "grow up" in there somewhere? Alas, sometimes we don't hear the message from the music!
Inviato Mon 23 Feb 09 @ 3:17 am
Actually there are quite a few songs with those lyrics. But if it's bothering people that I have those comments written on my site i'll edit it.
