a laptop stand? If so, which one? I am thinking on getting on but I need opinions from others that are using them. I need one that can mount on my coffin. Any help is always appreciated.

It's collapses easily and folds flat for storage. Comes with zippered bag.

Hey Syber, try looking at one of these. I own a couple of them. The Ubetstand is nice, but, I do not like it as much as the one I showed. The Uberstand can be moved, it relies on its own weight to keep it in place. The one I showed clamps into place on your coffin. There is even an optional shelf for soundcards, or wireless mic receivers. I also own a couple of very high end lap top stands, like Spacetek, but they are heavy, I would not want to move them on a regular basis. So, click on the links and see which one suits your needs better...

for laptops uberstand is my bet, easily folds into a little bag, it comes with a shelf/tray for your sound card or HD. The Odyssey is a pain to collapse and the tray is sold separately...

make your own, its easy...are you ready...
take 2 cereal boxes, cut them to the size of your laptop, stick several strands of tinsel on them for decoration. Then get 4 empty baked bean tins and glue them to the bottom.
there you go
or, buy one from the list above

Stanton Uberstand. I have tired all other kinds and found this to be solid. Good luck!

I went to my local hardware store and bought 4 'L' brackets and some straight brackets and bolted them together, and used black clothtape to cover the top. not particularly mobile but who needs mobile when you drive to the gig anyway.
All up it cost me around NZ$20.

Stanton Uberstand. Although with my new 17" laptop it's a little unsteady. As more and more 17" laptops are appearing on the market a slightly larger version would be useful.
