Well i have a gig next saturday..im ganna play at my own birthday party!! :D!!!well my laptop broke down.. i cant get it fixed..i can use my desktop but since you know Numark Dj Io is not compatible with 64 bit..so i was thinking of buying me the sound card maya 44....i really need to mak a good impression since that day i can advertise my mobile dj..alot of partyers are ganna be there so i want them to see that im a good dj with good music that can make them jump..:D!!..so i want them to hire me for thier small house partys...but a friend of mine is selling his compaq to me for $250USD...im ganna see if its 32 bit and see how good it runs....so if i buy the laptop i dont have to buy the maya 44..what should i do?? OH AND I BOUGHT LIGHTS FOR EFFECTS!!!

Why not just buy Vista 32 bit??? I am running a system with 4gb ram and 32 bit with no issues. I would say for $129 its worth the price, just create a dual boot between 32 and 64 thus creating a dedicated DJ partition.

thats wut i was thinking too..i get your idea..Turntables ive been in a battle with my desicions about this...

so i can change my desk top CPU to 32 bits with no problem ok...becuase my desktop is 4 gb and i think it has a pretty good video card...:D!!!

Ok well im looking at my buddys computer rite now and it says its 261,616 kb of Ram .....how much is that??
and its windows 2000....would this work with VDJ?? an Dj IO?? ToTAl Control???

get the maya !!even if you decide to get another computer the maya44usb is a great investment/back up plan for any dj imo.for the price you cant go wrong .btw: have you called around in your area?cause alot of local dj stores carry the maya44usb now for like $129 us and if they dont carry it they could probrably order it quicker or u can pay for express shipping (like @pssl.com or djsupply.com etc)
hope you rock your party!! my b day was on 2-19 and i dj"ed as well on my b-day!!i had a blast!! just remember you r at work so no heavy drinkin/smokin!!lol
also 250 for that lappy is too much!! try frys.com or microcenter.com they have new laptops from $299 usd and up !!runnin vista32 bit.
for another few bucks. when it comes to laptops i like getting them new.it like a car :u never know who did what with it dropped it ;viruses;bootleg programs/operating systems can all play a part in vdj not working properly for u.
so if you can wait a bit b4 getting a new cpu .read up on the specs reviews etc .again its like buying a car ..dont just buy it cause its affordable,u might just get a lemon.

thanks bro i turned down the laptop...for one the screen didnt stand up rite..two it only had one usb port..boo!!..well i ordered the maya 44 on audiolines.com..it cost me a bit but it all came from the extra cash i make at work...MY TIPSS!!!!! hehehehe...
