I love Virtual DJ the simplicity of interface is what makes it so kool a dumb ass can use it. But i have some problems with the program that i would like the people of Virtual DJ to fix and make it the program we all know it can be. The biggest problem i have that if fixed would make Virtual Dj the best DJ program in the world is that we are limited to 2 decks. 2 songs playing. I want to be able to make as many decks as i want, play as many songs as i want. I could have an acapela playing on one deck a beat on another wired sound effects on another and scratching on the 4th. The possibilities are endless. The cross fader would only be work between 2 decks but thats ok. The other problem i have with virtual dj though minor still needs to be addressed is the loop functions. I should be able to loop as many beats as i want. Loop 5 if i wanted loop hell some times i wish i could. Any way i hope people read this and comment and bring attention to these problems so virtual dj can evolve and grow. So if you know any one who can propose these ideas to the people who can make this happen do it, future virtual djs depend on it. Thank you

Firstly, to show your support for the software please register a serial.

Secondly, if you look in the "Wishes and New Features" forum before posting a new thread - there are many topics on this which you can add too.
 
There already are multi-instance user created skins, some of which are just plain bloody briliant, but in order to download them you must purchase the software.

It bugs me when people THINK that their priorities are above and beyond everyone else's.
Also, maybe people who are using a cracked version of Microsoft Windows Vista & XP should call Bill Gates and tell him what they think is important and while they are at it let him know that the future of their product depends solely on their ideas.

I saw on a TV show of "The Worlds Dumbest Criminals" one dude who rushed into a bank while the safe was open, grabbed a stack of bills and ran for it, came back the next day to raise hell because the stash he ran off with was fake cash the bank had been confiscating...

See this is the kinda thing that really angers me. Truth be told VDJ has 14 decks + preview if you count the sampler. Grab another laptop and double that. Then again a really talented dj could still rock with a club/party/whatever with some sony diskmans from the early 90's. Also you can set manual loop in and out points however looping an odd number of beats isn't recommended unless you have the wrong bpm for your track in the first place.

hmmm, how many songs can you play at one time? And how many songs will play after that first one (at one time). Sheesh!

No offence, but bullshit. VDJ has 2 decks and is limited to 2 decks. Multiple instances of the program is just a imo cheap workaround. With VDJ's 2 decks i once did a VDJRadio session containing 72 tracks. With a third deck i think i could reach 90 or even 100 tracks an hour, and i'd love to do that, but can't.
 
thank you for the comments firstly i do plan on buying virtual dj its just that my money is tight so can't right at the moment. So there is some confusion between you guys who commented DJ Cyder thinks you can have 14 decks and VanSitno, like me only has two decks to work with. All i want to know is can i make multiple decks like more then 2, 14 decks would be amazing but is it possible?
 
Why the hell would you want 14 decks???? I can't see a purpose for more than 4.......

I guess an extra deck could be usefull but more than 4 seems a little daft. I use my 2 decks quite happily allong side a twin cd player. I find VDJ flexible enough, what with the sampler and all that good stuff you can, I think introduce most of the effects that you would use an extra deck for. Just be creative.
There has to be a limit here if you are using VDJ and are at the stage where you have a controller/mixer/sound card you would at least have to run 4 stereo line outs and a pair of assignable controllers or some serious mapper. most guys have enough equipment hanging of the USB ports already, The laptop users have a hard enough job running a Maya44 and controller without glitches. if your just running the mouse, what are you going to do with 4 decks.

With respect, money aint growin on trees for anyone right now but it seems the old phrase "trying to run before you can walk" would seem fitting. If purchasing a licenced version is a stretch financially then perhaps two decks is enough for now.

As for the future who knows, VDJ is constantly being improved.

You should see this hot new guy I heard spinning: DJ OCTO! He's spinning 8 decks at a time, all in perfect beat, & scratching on 4 decks at the same time! Freaking amazing!

BTW that swampland I had in Florida sold for twice what I was asking for it!
 
Was that 8 virtual or 8 hardware?

dope dude fucking swampland kool good for you but we're talking about how to get multiple decks on VDJ. So the consensus is that it is not possible yet?
 
 
what he means by 14 decks is that you can load a song on each of the 12 sampling channels, plus 2 regular decks

BTW we can add links till Dubya grows some common sense, and still this dude will not be able to see the multi-instance feature because he doesn't have the LEGAL VERSION!
