might RAM problem, what are you r computer specs?

i have had the same problem, GOOD LUCK with any help on it! i am slowly loosing my respect for VDJ/CUE

change your processor scheduling to "background services"

turn all power schemes to never

turn off all system sounds

turn off system restore on all drives

you are not having issues with VDJ ........ you are having issues with Windows ......

its a guess but a good one ... i think you are using the hideous default soundcard ?? .... turning off all sounds may do the trick

the other tweaks are good though and will give your system some "headroom" so to speak so that the system isn't pushed hard

oik but what if your system isnt being pushed hard and all those tweaks were already done and it still happens?

then you look at the sticky at the top of general discussion and try the many other tweaks listed there

they are all done. system NEVER goes over %50 cpu and my ram doesnt even get worked with 4 gigs. why is it when many people have the SAME problem people on here insist its a laptop issue. BS. how can people with dif laptops have the same recurring issues?

Ok, so if you decide to do gigs with a faulty system you are one of the following:

1- Cocky and hopefull - not really interested in this kind of thing for the long run.
2- Stupid - will not be in this kind of business for the long run either

My friend, i've been doing this for 16 years, i have not met one person yet who says there is a perfect djing system out there, there can always be improvements, this is why there are so many programs, controllers, mixers, decks, turntables, amps, speakers, compressors, etc... and tomorrow there will more than today.
What you need to do is find that comfort zone, something that works for you. If you are serious about being in this business, sorry to burst your bubble, that is a reality you will have to live with because no matter what equipment you buy, there is always an if and/or a but.

Furthermore, if the program was the problem, then wouldn't the majority of users have the same problem seeing that most computer parts now a days are made by the same manufacturers somewhere in china? Look, if the majority of us are somewhat stable with our program, then its definitely a problem with YOUR system...
