hi guys.quick question.the pub i work in has the following qand cuts out every now and again any ideas.3xberinger 1500 amps linked to beringer equiliser.then 1 amp does all the speakers.there are dj inputs tv inputs and also juke box inputs running through.normally i just swith cables in exterior sound box.its happenin when just tv and jukebox playing also

1. are they linked in to a sound limiter, 2. equaliser could be on the way out, you could try by passing the equaliser on the night your working (better still go when the bar is low on punters) 3. then there's the old heat problem, find out when all the gear last had a good old clean, it should be done on a regular basis especially in a pub enviroment.

would'nt hurt them having a service either, if they have been installed for a while.
 
hey mate.i actually think it mite be the equiliser.can get very finicky on the gain knob.ive told them to get a good service on them.i pulled out rack and checked all leads but its a mess back there.sometimes one side of amp goes but as i said its going through equiliser.
 
yep it definately sounds like a service job, advise them if they don't it will only get worse and one night there won't be any music at all. replace the term "boss" with "tight fisted git" "morons" and "idiots".... lol

lol very true.so can i bypass equiliserwithout having to run more leads.ive just got a beringer equiliser and havent used it yet ahhh
 
you can do either, feed straight to the back of the amp, but this way you will lose the extra quality the eq gives you, or through your own eq then to the amp.
 
Staffy could also possibly be dust/dirt in the gain knobs of the amps themselves or even the mixer. Happens here every once in awhile.
