Forum: General Discussion

Topic: Over Moderation.

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

What peeves me is when i read a new lively topic and the mods close it . A democratic society we live in ?. I was just reading about charging or not charging for plugins and then bump, closed. This has happened a few times even when the discussion is healthly. I agree with moderation when some one becomes offensive or T and C's are broken but over moderation is evident on some threads.

Chris, some times there are posts that get raised before you see them. Some posts get locked over something someone said. The mods almost never lock a thread. We leave that up to a Teamer to decide on. When the Mods do take some action, we generate a post, which you can't see, stating our reasons, and saying if we are wrong to correct it. Then the Teamers decide if we acted correctly. Even though you don't always see things, discussion is going on. Please be patient and trust the system in place....Thanks T

There are things that are not be acceptable on the forums. And personal attacks are one of them. If the conversations can stay on a topic and not turn personal then less moderation. However, once personal attacks occur -- those discussions can be taken elsewhere.

As to the specific topic you were reading ... the answer was given in that topic as it has been openly expressed and discussed here several times about 'selling' things.

There is no need for further discussion on the specific 'thread' topic nor on how 'selling' will be dealt with on the VirtualDJ forums.

Selling of goods and/or services - will be moderated immediately and removed from the community view.
Topics that seem to take on a personal attack at fellow users will be moderated and closed immediately.

Cheers guys for putting me in the picture, out for a for a few beers at the local as i have a night off, catch ya later.

Chris
