hey all

So getting really peeved with this set up. I am just about on my last straw with the pair of them. I have been trying to record numerous mixes with these have done a few in the past but nothing really compares to using two cdj's and a good mixer. Here are the problems I have.
- the auto beat match and synch just doesnt seem to be accurate. I dont know if its due to the fact i am playing soulful house and the beats are sometimes not quite as clean as other styles of house but it doesnt seem to work. i would like to use the pitch controls but they are almost too sensitive they mix to two decimal points?
- this problem above coupled with the eq that comes with it seems to end me in problems too. The bass eq range is too wide and makes it harder to get a nice clean blend when mixing.

Is there something i am missing, admittedly i havent really spent a lot of time tampering with it and maybe there are some quick easy fixes but i am never satisfied with the mixes i am getting. I have been djing for about 10 years now and know how it should look and sound but dont seem to be able to get this with this set-up. Am i being a perfectionist or just havent got some of the technical stuff set up that well?

if you want an example of what i am talking about heres a mix that i did on it last week. I am too embarrassed to put this up to the general public, especially with the amount of trainspotters out there:

any help would be appreciated !
thanks

It has nothing to do with the controller... it's the wave form thats causing the mismatch. The little squares ( cant rember the name ) on the wave form that are not matching up to the correct beat so when you hit the sync button, it will find the closest match. When you played with the cdj's you used you ears more than instant button push...

Ur right about the eq's... You have to get used to it. If your used to cut or scratch fading then you might want to change the option in VDJ and the eqs are about half the transition of a standard mixer.

i'd like to have the option to set the -/+db on my low/mid/high in future vdj's as this would good for all djin types
