I currently have a VCI-100 which has the original firmware on it. There is a Firmware update 1.2 that elliminates the 'ramp up' problem I believe occurs with Traktor. Although I don't use Traktor (Only Virtual DJ) should I bother upgrading the firmware on the VCI-100 or not? I only ask because I usually upgrade any firmware/software for anything to take advantage of perhaps new and/or improved performance and I'm not really a 'scratcher' anyway.
