Hi guys,
I need your opinions on this.
When doing regular gigs and usually when I'm searching for a song/or browsing the tree directory, occasionally Virtual DJ abruptly terminates without giving any warning or crash report leaving me very embarrased in the club.
I am using version 5.0 and all my music is stored on the laptop itself.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know for sure but this is probably a stability issue which has been rectified. Have you tried updating to the latest version?? 5.2.1??
if you already have a license you can register it here: http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then you will be able to download the latest version for FREE. There have been siginificant improvements.

i was having this problem for a while .....until the laptop died ........
i was having this and some other glitches and it seems the laptop was at fault not the software
it's possible your C: needs service
on the new hardware the only glitch i am still experiencing is the "tired" software problem .....

It sounds like a bad file and/or folder in your database. Try going to "Config" at the top right then to the "Browser" tab. In the "Browser" tab at the bottom select the drive that contains your audio files then click "check" and then "fix". Maybe that will help. If I am incorrect someone will come along and correct me.
It could also be a bug which was probably fixed in the current version. You can download the demo of the current version on this site...and if you using the software for public performance you really need to purchase it. If you're like me you might sleep better at night. :)
