I am writing this blog as i have never seen it in any forums.
Hi all i was just wondering what everyone here uses to put there music videos into Genres.
As you are aware most music video supplyers have there own Genres, or most DVD's and VCD's supplyed by the bigger supplyers have there own basic Genres.
What i am getting at what if you wish to expand this. What is everyone using to do this?
With MP3's it's easy there are many pieces of software out there that will go search the net and fill in all the gaps for you, but in the case of music video we seem to be very limited.
I currently have over 40,000 music videos all sorted in basic Genres as supplyed by the music video supplyers.
lets here your thoughts.

I do my videos the same way I do my audio. I have my genres all set as folders in windows explorer on my media drives and I listen to the song / video and put it in the appropriate folder......there is no way in hell I am letting someone else determine what genre they think a song fits in my format! A MAJOR part of being a good Dj is for YOU to decide where a song fits for the type of crowds you play.
