I also have a collection of mpeg2 visuals for use through clipbank and they load in clipbank perfectly, just nothing at all in peg2 format will load on the player itself.

Make sure your using VDJ video decoder is selected under codecs. That is what I have selected and works fine for me.

You could also download K lite codec pack and install them.

Done that but still no joy, vdj does recognise them as a vide but just throws an error up when i try to load

VDJ normally plays MEPG-2 without any codec issues, as far as I'm concerned it's the standard video format.
Your problem must be within the VDJ program but it's hard to diagnose anything without knowing what you have, is this a trial version or something else.
I'm more than happy to try and help you but I need more information.

Do they play in Windows Media Player?? Try renaming one to .vob from .mpg.

Are you sure that the video file exists there where vdj database expects? Check video file info on vdj. I got these errors once when my OS set the external hard drive to different drive letter than usually.

HD MPEG2 video does not work on the default video decoder supplied with VDJ. To fix this go into config, codecs, highlight the MPG file and change it from Video Decoder to Windows Media Player Video Decoder.
This will fix the problem, but as suggested you may also have to add Klite decoers and have them add during install the Windows Media Player.
If you get time and a few dollars, buy a registered version of VDJ too. Cheers
