guys what does vdj use for video transitions ect.is it jav or direct x or is there a difference.just need to know what my system needs or requires.also what are framework upgrades on automatic updates.

Java is a language, and VDJ makes no use of it.
On Windows the video engine uses DirectX.
On Mac the video engine uses OpenGL.
Framework updates are updates to the .NET framework. Again, VDJ doesn't use .NET. AFAIK no-one has used it any plugins either. You should update it though if there are critical or security reasons to.

Some applications will use it mate. Also some web sites pages need it (I believe, but I'm no techy mate ;) )

You will need Java for many websites to function properly. There's no harm at all with it being on your PC.
