HOLY POOP ON A STICK BATMAN! Been playing for half an hour so far.... this new version is AWESOME. Loving the netsearch also, I'm buying me one of those USB mobile broadband gizmos tomorrow... it's no substitute for a well organised hard disc full of quality music files, but it's one hell of a handy tool in case of hard drive failure/random song requests!

Shame there's no sample manager yet, but pleased to see the addition of on-the-fly sample length adjustment.... bring on those snare rolls!

Looks great so far! I am bummed about the Boggins mapper not working. That was the best mapper I've ever used.

I'll have to spend some time tweaking my own mapper controls I guess.
 
Wow! What a nice surprice tonight!
After my football team Levski Sofia became Bulgaria's Champion, now I got my VDJ 6 installed and running!
I'm really eager to test it live tomorrow evening at my gig @ Buddha Bar :)

I'm a big fan of JPboggis's HC5400 mapper. With VDJ 6 can you switch to different "Modes" (Browser, Video, Sampler, Loops..etc) and set the different buttons to different map settings depending on which "Mode" your in. This was the best feature from his mapper.
 
Yes, I love it. I don't get how netsearch works. Also I love the "grid" transition and the video auto mix. Now I can go back to a $150 mixer instead of the Korg Zero4 that pops and clicks like no tomorrow. Only complaint is no new controllers documented or listed in the config. I like and dislike the idea of trying to get something else to work. Someone post some XML's, I may sell all my stuff to get a NS-7 or VCI.
Also, I just love the new timecode engine. The pitch doesnt "Walk" anymore.

Wow is all I can say right now. Playing with it on my home system. (with Windows 7 no less) The only problem I've encountered is a stutter when videos are automixed. (Happens at the end of the song being automixed) This is with a Tascam US-428 sound card in ASIO mode. Will check tomorrow when I gig if it happens on that machine. Other than that, videos are smooth as butter now, if the colors are even better if my eyes aren't playing tricks on me. I'm playing all the MKVs that version 5 would choke on after a while if you played too many back to back and so far so good! A big problem that version 5 has is with some videos (especially 264 encoded) is that if you skipped through them, you hosed everything. Version 6 seems to handle jumping around in most x264 videos better. It takes a second for the video to catch up, but at least it doesn't totally hang or skip. I did encounter a couple of videos that had a little frame stutter after jumping though. Videos that were out of sync seem to be working properly now too! Although I am now finding my AC-3 videos have no sound. :-( Audio sounds great! Bass response seems better than version 5. I'm still playing but so far I'm having fun with this new version.

O well, I'm so glad that they didn't and I discovered VDJ!
 
djderricke - try changing the Performance setting for the 48kHz<- ->44kHz to Basic Interpolation ... how do your video's audio work now ? Is there a difference?

Oh and the 'colors' are not a deception ... :)
 
Skin: Vmix 5.4
Issue: Low/Mid/High crossfaders no longer work properly.

Anybody know a solution for this?

Ok, ok now I'm really getting perturbed here listening to all of this great stuff about the new version. When I bought my gear at the Guitar Center I was told that CUE was the same thing as VDJ and updates, plug-ins etc were available to all users. The price is the same as VDJ as are the features etc. This is really, really upsetting. I would have never bought this if I’d known we would be treated as second rate users. I paid a first rate price, now I have to pay $50 more to be 1st rate? Then I will have paid almost $400 US!! Ouch!! I feel like there is some dishonest info floating around about CUE & VDJ and I was deceived, big time!!

Sour apples?! Yes, but how is this my fault!! I tout this software all over the internet ad nauseam, I am a member of Pioneer Pro DJ forums, Serato, Numark, Pro DJ Forums, Mobile Beat and Promo Only and I always push VDJ (tastefully, respectfully and professionally, of course). I know I have converted many. I get “thank you” emails & PMs from people all of the time for helping them with equipment and software problems and questions regarding VDJ/CUE. This IS great software and I love the people here, probably the kindest group of all of the websites, so you’ll understand why I’m just a little upset? It’s not right. Not at all, but I’m glad you guys are enjoying the new version, I can’t wait to get mine.

U can download the NetSearch tracks by right clicking and downloading it to the Cache.
