well i did, but didnt read on the public beta that it didnt support the VV card... thought it wasnt platform specific. sorry bout that
 
Great job teamers!!!! So far so good, no longer do I have to switch sound cards to keep my rmx 6+6 buttons from resetting on startup. I love the netsearch feature, found a few good songs on it already. I also like the new mapping system, VDJ is now better and simpler than ever before;^]
 
OK, I'm surprised nobody has asked this yet.

I haven't tried v6 yet, but will today and am anxious to try the new online search tool. My question is, what security do we have against viruses if it's just pulling a file from "someplace" onlline. How do we know it's a safe source? How can this be legal? Am I looking into this too far?

Yes you are looking into it to far ... and no you don't have to use it .. you can keep it off and remove the object from the left pannel.
 
No, I want to use it! Just want to understand it. Do I need to worry about secure files/viruses/etc.? Not knowing where the files are coming from makes me say hmmm. Up till now, playing a file of unknown origin was a big no-no.
 

no need to worry.
MP3s and video files cant contain virus ;)
 
OK, that's good to hear, I thought otherwise.
 
Well i wouldn’t go as far as saying mp3s/video files can't contain viruses, im pretty sure they can and viruses can be disguised as mp3 and video files but in this case there is no need to worry..

im pretty certain that vdj know and trust the sites they are using to source the netsearch content. so dont worry about it!

Id also like to say thx VDJ on a nice release, i think ill stick around for a bit ;)
 
OK, here we go...

I was playing with the NetSearch and all was well. Now all of a sudden, when I try to load a song from the results, I get an error message that pops up and says it's only available to members, which I am, and it was working fine. What do I check?

P.S. I saw the thread about a possible protection error and redownloaded/installed from my d/l center with same result.



**Update**

I tried loggin in under config/internet and now it works again. Interesting thing is, I wasn't logged in before. Is this why or no?
 

go to network tab, and login ;)
 
I think Dj-in-norway means the 'Internet' tab in the settings :P.

u need to be a full member to use the feature so thats why it stopped working, i guess you get a small trial.
 
Logged in and seems to be fine...interesting that it worked before when I wasn't.

finaally..home...ran to the computer,installed VDJ 6!! Love it...only problem is how the quality of the skin looks on my computer when i have in full screen mode..i think it might not be for my resolution..
 
Hell yessss, this is a very nice software... But what happend to show cover in the video tab?

go under skin - select VDJ or Virtual DJ 6 (Hi Res)

didnt notice that for awhile :)

that fitted nicely for my macbook pro, thought that it was all it had when i maximized the small skin
 
All I can say is WOW!!! So far, my TCCD's seem more responsive, and sound SOOOO much better. The features are AWESOME!!! I am SOOO glad I went PRO a few months ago. Can't wait to see what skins will be out soon to quench my hunger for an eye-pleasing skin with the elements I am lookin for....I have less than a week to move into my new apartment, and when I discovered 6.0 when I woke up this AM, well needless to say I am very behind schedule for today.

What ? There was never a 'show cover' in the video tab.
 
Sorry guys, I've been super busy with everyday life lately, so I haven't been around. Anyway, I was getting ready to do do a mix demo for a local promoter earlier tonight and, imagine my surprise when I checked "just for grins" whether there was a new version out recently. I can't wait to get it loaded and started up so I can see what's new!!

In my experience, VDJ has been very solid (with some minor configuration tweaks and maintenance) for my purposes since the 4 series versions, so, again, my hat's off to the team for their latest brainchild ;)

What ? There was never a 'show cover' in the video tab.

I thaught it was a way to show cover over entire video screen and not just the title size art. I know I did it before but can remember
