Topic: Bad Files

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Apparently, there are quite a few files in my database that have been moved, or are otherwise missing.
These still show up in my search database, which isn't a huge problem. (Actually, I'm wondering if they aren't in some of my playlists or history, and that's where they're coming from?)

Anyway - I can still load them in the playlist without knowing that they won't play. It would be great if VDJ would check for the file's existence when it's put in the playlist and color the text red or something to indicate that it's bad? Also - previewing a file of this nature doesn't do anything to show that there's an error. Maybe something in the title bar of the preview would help?

A couple new filter fields were added for this exact cleanup ... so create the following two filters

Name - Not in SearchDB (the 'hidden files' from the SearchDB)
Filter - inSearchDB=0

Name - Not on Drives (*these are the ones that load as error)
Filter - isPresent=0

These 2 filters will help you find those 'Hidden files' and the 'Old Entries' that are reported on the browser tab.

Btw, this info can be found in the new V6 manual on page 22 as Utility Filters
